چکیده

Long-term paleofire perspectives provide key information on natural and human-derived land cover changes. The last few millennia are crucial to understanding the future of wildfire threats, since increasing global temperatures expected have an impact regions previously assumed not be endangered. In this study we investigate interplay between changing climatic conditions, transformation, fires, human activity based first 1750-year-long macrocharcoal record derived from varved sediments Lake Jaczno, located in northeast Poland. is supported by morphotype analysis, pollen historical data, statistical which revealed that vicinity lake both low- high-intensity fires may occurred. Most them were set humans, but some periods biomass burning was favored droughts or even causes (i.e. lightning). Human-induced especially evident AD 1081 1283. This period corresponds peak Jatvings tribe region related deforestation for agrarian purposes. Fire combined with area impacted limnological processes primary productivity shifts water mixing regime.

Investigation of forest fire hazard areas in Golestan province based on fire risk system index (FRSI) using the technique (GIS)

Abstract  Fire in natural resources is one of the crises that causes irreparable damage to ecosystems and the environment every year. The purpose of this research is to attempt to study areas of risk aversion and to prepare a map of forest fire hazard area by integrating topographic data and other additional information from a GIS system for Golestan province. In order to carry out this resear...

Global fire activity patterns (1996–2006) and climatic influence: an analysis using the World Fire Atlas

Vegetation fires have been acknowledged as an environmental process of global scale, which affects the chemical composition of the troposphere, and has profound ecological and climatic impacts. However, considerable uncertainty remains, especially concerning intra and inter-annual variability of fire incidence. The main goals of our global-scale 5 study were to characterise spatial-temporal pat...

Limnological and sedimentary processes at Sawtooth Lake, Canadian High Arctic, and their influence on varve formation

This paper synthesizes data collected to document the modern limnological and sedimentary processes in South Sawtooth Lake located on northern Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada. Field observations show that the finely laminated sediments deposited in the distal basin are formed by the settling of overflows and interflows, and in rare occasions, by non-erosive hyperconcentrated density flows. Th...

Temporal Variations of Fire Effects on Dissolved Nutrient Concentrations and Runoff amount in Zrebar Lake Watershed

Fire causes destructive effects on soil, water and components of wetland ecosystems. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of fire on runoff amount and nutrient concentration of Zrebar Lake watershed between 2014 and 2017 and the return of burned areas to their natural conditions in the short, medium and long term. The results showed that in the fourth year after the fire, the am...
